Ice, Ice, Ice, and Snow.

We were hit by a wonderful ice storm and then a spit of snow this week. We have been out of school for 2 days and will be out tomorrow. Unless some big time melting goes on tomorrow I am sure we will be out Friday too!

I let the kids go outside for about 10 mins today because they are tired of being inside!

Snow!!!

This morning it was snowing when we went to get in the car to goto the sitters.
Christopher said "Mommy snow it is almost Christmas time" then he thinks for a few minutes and then says "Mommy we forgot to put Santa's magic key on the door!"

Too cute. BTW we got a magic key for Santa this year since we do not have a fireplace with a chimney.

We had a good Christmas this year ! The kids got a ton of toys and I am sure they did not need them but I guess that is the point!

Break!!!!

Well the month of December seemed to be shy of illnesses! Maybe this is a sign of better health for the kids in the new year!
We had a Breakfast with Santa the weekend of the 13th. I had Tracy bring the kids and Christopher LOVED Santa.... he kept going back talking to him and asking him questions.
"Santa why do you have that hat on?
Santa do you have a big belly button?
Santa why is there a fan on you?
Santa why do you wear those boots?
Santa why......."

It was great! I think this was the first year he did not run from Santa. Olivia on the other hand did not really care for him.

After returning home from lunch with the family, Olivia and I were watching doggies (Homeward Bound is now her obsession) Christopher came in and said "Mommy did you buy me this fast truck??" and he was excited. I looked at him and he had opened one of his Christmas presents!!! I asked him why he said because it had his name on it! :) Good logic!
I asked him where the paper was so I could wrap it back he said it was all torn. On his bed was the evidence! I could not be mad because it was cute! I just took the truck and put it up. He has not asked since for it..... but I am sure he will remember come Christmas!

Christmas Decorating

We decorated the Christmas tree last weekend. The kids helped! Olivia was getting the ornaments out of the box faster than I could hand them to her. Most of them are on the bottom right side and she redecorates every night! Sweet Girl!
